Last week, an Indian customer reported that the DAILIS floor scrubber he used had a problem of not being able to suck clean sewage. After preliminary investigation, it was suspected that it was caused by the wear of the water-absorbing rubber strip and the inclination angle of the squeegee to the ground was not 45 degrees. Due to geographical restrictions, the Hefei DAILIS technical team decided to assist customers in completing repairs and replacements through online remote video guidance.
The status of the water-absorbing rubber strip was confirmed through video, and it was found that the edge of the rubber strip was severely worn, resulting in reduced sealing and sewage backflow.
Observing the contact angle between the squeegee and the ground during operation, it was found that due to improper adjustment of the balance wheel, the inclination angle of the squeegee to the ground was too small, resulting in insufficient pressure and affecting the water absorption function.
In order to help customers solve the problem, guide customers:
① Replace the water-absorbing rubber strip
Step 1: Guide customers to remove the old rubber strip.
First loosen the buckles fixed at both ends of the squeegee and remove the severely worn rubber strip.
Step 2: Install the new rubber strip.
Align the notch of the rubber strip, press and embed from one end to the other end to ensure that the rubber strip is flat and not twisted.
Re-tighten the buckle and check the sealing.
② Adjust the height of the squeegee balance wheel and the ground
Step 1: Rotate the cross knob that fixes the balance wheel to adjust the height of the balance wheel and the ground.
Step 2: Instruct the customer to slowly debug, make the rubber strip of the squeegee form a 45-degree inclination with the ground, and make the rubber strip contact the ground evenly.
Step 3: Start the floor scrubber for trial operation, observe the water absorption effect, and fine-tune until there is no sewage residue.
After replacing the rubber strip, the water absorption seal is restored and the sewage recovery rate is significantly improved. After adjusting the inclination, the fit between the squeegee and the ground is optimized, which completely solves the problem of sewage not being sucked clean.
When the Indian customer’s floor scrubber finally resumed efficient operation, an excited “It’s working perfectly now!” came from the other end of the video, and a relaxed applause also rang out in the office of the Hefei DAILIS technical team.
